Complete the Story Demo to unlock the Gameplay Demo. The free PC trial has two parts: the first emphasizes the story opening, and the second focuses on gameplay and movement. You do not need to buy or finish the full game to meet the documented first-section completion requirement.
This unlock belongs to the separate Terrible Lizards Demo Steam application, 5244130. It is not New Game Plus, which is unlocked by completing the released full game.
Check That You Are Running the Demo
The Steam full game is app 2920220. The Demo is app 5244130, released on September 24, 2026. Their shared title does not make their menus, campaign progression, or update histories interchangeable.
If your aim is to open the second trial section, launch the Demo rather than search the full game's chapter list. Wishlisting the full game also does not install or complete the Demo.
The verified Demo version in the current game snapshot is 0.9.76, dated October 20. Steam full-game 1.0.9 is a different version history and should not be used as the Demo's build number.

The separate Demo download is above the full-game purchase option.
Finish the Story Section Before Looking for Gameplay Access
Play the Story Demo first and continue until that section reaches its actual completion. The unlock condition is completion, not merely entering Dalton's Dinos, reaching a particular exhibit, or watching one of the attraction's videos.
The first section provides the story-led introduction. The Gameplay Demo is its confirmed follow-up, so a video that begins in a different environment may be showing that second section rather than an area you missed on your current route.
No separate secret pickup, paid upgrade, or full-game amber requirement is established for this unlock. Follow the Demo's objectives to its end before treating the second section as missing.

The attraction provides the story setting; this view does not indicate completion.
Continue into the Gameplay Demo
After the Story Demo is complete, check the Demo's available section choices for the newly unlocked Gameplay Demo. Use the labels displayed in your installed version; no precise button placement or universal controller input is established here.
The second section shifts the emphasis toward movement. That is why the two parts should be treated as separate selections within the trial, rather than assuming that every walkthrough begins at the same location or covers the same sequence.

The movement-focused section emphasizes traversal; this view illustrates the type of terrain.
| Completion or product | What it establishes |
|---|---|
| Story Demo completed | Unlock condition for the Gameplay Demo |
| Gameplay Demo available | Access to the trial's second, movement-focused section |
| Full game purchased | Ownership or access to the separate released product |
| Full campaign completed | Requirement for New Game Plus, a different replay feature |
If the Second Section Still Appears Locked
First confirm the two details that directly control this question: you are in the Demo app, and the Story Demo has reached completion. A full-game chapter checkpoint or an unfinished first-section save does not establish that condition.
Then check the installed Demo version. Its 0.9.76 update addresses several movement and collision softlocks, including becoming stuck under the theater stairs. An older recording of such a problem should not be treated as an intended puzzle solution.
A patch note describing a fixed softlock does not guarantee that every previously interrupted run automatically records completion. If the Story Demo ended but the Gameplay Demo remains unavailable, record the Demo version, the completion screen or final state, and what the section menu displays afterward.
There is no verified universal menu-reset trick or save-editing procedure for an unlock failure here. Preserve the save and the visible state rather than deleting progress based on a guessed repair. The supported requirement remains finishing the first section in the correct Demo application.
Keep Demo Progress Separate from the Released Campaign
Completing either trial section does not mean that the full campaign has been finished. The released game expands beyond the Demo, and familiar areas can have different routes or added sequences.
Do not use a full-game keypad number, fuse route, or final encounter description as an automatic Demo solution merely because it looks familiar. Match the guide to the version and section you are actually playing.
The same distinction applies to rewards. Gameplay Demo access follows Story Demo completion. New Game Plus and its amber-linked modifiers belong to the released full game's completion and collection systems. Keeping those two unlock chains separate resolves the main confusion without adding unsupported extra requirements.
