Meteor Exhibit Replacement Button

Quick Answer

After Dilo Dash, climb from the display box on the left of the blocked exit. Use the upper platforms to reach a moving dinosaur dummy, ride it across, and collect the replacement button from the boxes on the far side.

After Dilo Dash, climb from the display box on the left of the blocked exit. Use the upper platforms to reach a moving dinosaur dummy, ride it across, and collect the replacement button from the boxes on the far side. Return to the single exhibit in the dark room, fit the button into its console, and press it to start the meteor sequence.

Your destination after activation is the opening used by the meteor, not the blocked normal exit. This is a Chapter 1 full-game puzzle before the backstage route and gift shop. The button is a specific exhibit component; you do not obtain it from the later gift-shop basement.

Start from the blocked exit after Dilo Dash

Continue through Dilo Dash until the exit prevents you from leaving normally. Look to the left for a display box that provides the first step upward. Climb it and continue onto the elevated platforms.

The route to the spare button is above the display floor. If you stay beside the closed exit trying to interact with it again, you will miss the intended detour. The display box and moving dummies are the useful landmarks for the search.

The broader museum route contains several mechanical objectives. Keep this one separate from the theater projector's fuse and the flashlight token: neither item replaces the missing button in the finale console.

Ride a moving dinosaur dummy to the button

At the upper route, watch the moving dino dummies. Time a jump so that you can hang onto one and let it carry you to the other side. Drop off when you reach the destination platforms.

Collect the button from the top of the boxes there. The ride is a crossing rather than the collectible itself, so check the boxes after dismounting before returning to the floor.

The available directions do not establish a fixed number of seconds between dummy passes or a universal controller input label. Use the movement instructions displayed by your version and watch the actual dummy position. A guessed timing value would be less useful than the visible crossing.

Use the moving model to cross to the upper pickup route.

Install the button in the dark exhibit room

Descend from the pickup route and head left until you reach the single exhibit in the dark room. Find its console, install the replacement button, and press it.

The activation brings the asteroid out as part of the exhibit. That moving scenery creates the opening you need to enter the backstage area. It does not turn the normal exit into the route forward.

Use the console as your starting point for the next movement sequence. Before activating, locate the nearby climb so you can leave promptly once the machinery starts. Watching the entire display from the floor can cost the opportunity to reach the opening in time.

Reach the meteor opening

After pressing the button, follow this movement chain:

  1. Jump upward directly ahead from the exhibit approach.
  2. Slide beneath the dinosaur on the left.
  3. Use the pillars on the right to climb.
  4. Continue to the higher platforms.
  5. Circle around the exhibit at the top.
  6. Slide beneath the pipes and jump into the opening the meteor used.

The important sequence is low clearance, right-hand ascent, then the upper circuit. Trying to jump directly from the floor into the meteor opening skips the supports used by the route.

The exact available window is not established consistently enough here to prescribe a stopwatch target. Move promptly and use the visible machinery as your cue. The goal is entering the opening during the activated sequence, not waiting for a separate exit-door animation.

Activate the repaired console before making the run toward the opening.

Continue backstage after the opening

Beyond the exhibit, the route proceeds through maintenance spaces. Descend using the ladder when you reach it, cross the obstruction using yellow pipes, squeeze through the narrow passage, and use the vent on the left. The path eventually carries you toward the gift shop.

That continuation confirms why the missing-button task matters: it opens an alternate way through the attraction rather than providing a portable tool for the rest of the chapter. Once the backstage route is available, you do not need to search the spare-button boxes for an additional copy.

Check the stage that is still incomplete

If the console cannot start the show, confirm you actually picked up the button on the far-side boxes and installed it. Reaching the moving dummy is only the approach to the item.

If the show starts but the normal exit remains blocked, follow the meteor opening. A closed standard door is consistent with this alternate-route puzzle and does not by itself establish a progression failure.

If you reach the upper route but miss the opening, reassess the movement chain from the console: slide under the dinosaur, climb the right pillars, circle above, then pass under the pipes. There is no verified puzzle-specific skip or guaranteed reset method supplied here.

The verified Steam full-game baseline is 1.0.9. It does not establish a console-specific button fix, so do not transfer unrelated hunt patch notes to this exhibit. If the button is installed and the mechanism never responds, retain the platform and interaction details before considering a restart.
