Level 3 introduces goo bouncing and wall running as part of the campaign's movement progression. Use the bouncy surfaces to reach higher or farther platforms, then follow the wall-running routes to connect crossings that ordinary jumps cannot cover. Read the tutorial prompt for your active control scheme before chaining the actions; exact keyboard and controller inputs are not interchangeable.
The two actions solve different parts of a route. A bounce launches you through space. A wall run carries you along a usable wall surface. Treat them as separate movements when learning a section, then identify where one should lead into the other.
Recognize the bouncy-goo section
The elastic goo appears in the underground movement courses. Its purpose is to act as a springboard, giving Jordan access to height and distance beyond an ordinary platform jump. It is a traversal tool rather than a resource to gather for an inventory recipe.
Near the early bouncy-goo area, a work area on the right contains lab equipment and the Substance Field Report: Elastic note. That is a useful landmark if you are trying to identify where the new material is being introduced. Later routes build on the same idea instead of requiring you to return to the museum for an upgrade.
Before committing to a bounce, identify the destination above or across from the surface. The useful question is where you need to land next, rather than whether every visible patch of goo has the same function. Follow the route presented by the surrounding platforms and machinery.

The tutorial identifies outstretched goo as a surface used to reach higher areas.
Identify the wall-running route
A later landmark is a hanging wall with red lights. After wall running across it, the objective updates to Use wall running to progress through the caverns. Nearby, the Substance Field Report: Adhesion note is on a table to the right.
The distinction between elastic and adhesive material helps you read the route. A surface intended for bouncing should not be treated as an ordinary floor, while a wall-running crossing asks you to stay oriented toward the next support. Do not assume that every cave wall supports the action merely because wall running is now available.
Use the tutorial prompt on your own platform to establish the required input. If you changed the control layout, consult that active layout. A prompt from another version or a different controller arrangement can send you looking for the wrong action even when you are at the correct surface.

The marked route follows the wall surface across the gap.
Connect the actions one landing at a time
For a combined route, break the sequence into visible destinations before starting:
- Identify the bouncy surface and the height or gap it is meant to overcome.
- Locate the next wall, platform or hanging support in the intended path.
- Perform the first action using the game's tutorial controls.
- Keep the next destination in view as you transition.
- Finish on the next stable platform before examining a later section.
This is a way to organize the challenge, not a claim that there is one universal approach angle or button timing for every obstacle. The layouts vary, and later sequences test combinations of movements you have already learned.
Separate a missed movement from a stuck state
An ordinary failed attempt leaves you able to retry the route. A loss of movement control or becoming embedded in a surface is a different problem. One PS5 reviewer reported falling through a trampoline-like surface and losing the ability to jump; that report should not be treated as the intended behavior of goo bouncing.
If your character is stuck, record what still works: looking, walking, running or jumping. Also record whether it happened on landing, after a cutscene or after a death. That gives a clearer description than saying the wall run is impossible.
Steam patch 1.0.9 addresses several control and loading faults, but it does not establish a general fix for every wall-running or goo collision problem, and it does not confirm console update parity. For ordinary traversal, continue with the visible tutorial route; for a persistent lock, preserve the exact platform and scene details when reporting it.
